What is Edit Mode?
Edit Mode lets you modify the text of your story after it's been generated. You can fix typos, change names, adjust the wording, or rewrite entire paragraphs to get the story exactly right.
How to Use Edit Mode
- Open your story — Navigate to the story you want to edit from "My Storybooks."
- Enter Edit Mode — Tap the Edit button in the toolbar at the top of your story.
- Edit the text — Click on any page's text to modify it. The text field becomes editable.
- Finish editing — Tap Done Editing when you're done. Your changes are saved automatically.
What You Can Edit
- Story text — Change wording, fix grammar, or completely rewrite paragraphs.
- Character names — If a name was misspelled or you'd like to change it.
Changing the Pictures Instead
Edit Mode covers words. The pictures have their own tools:
- A whole illustration — regenerate that page.
- How a character, item or piece of furniture looks — Edit Characters & Items, which updates it consistently across every page you choose.
What You Can't Edit
- Number of pages — The page count is set during generation, though you can add and remove pages.
- Art style — To change the art style, create a new story.
✨
Edit Mode is perfect for personalizing the story further — add inside jokes, use your child's nickname, or include details that the AI might have missed.
